Frederick Hargreaves was born on 11th January 1860 at the Caledonia Diggings, Panton Hills, Victoria, Australia.

On 12th May 1884, he married Emily Jennings at Dixon’s Creek, Victoria Australia

Emily was born on 19th July 1854, Blakesley, Northamptonshire, England.

Their children were Walter Edwin (1885-1886), Charles Albert (1886-1921), Martha Emily Phoebe (1888-1956) and Alexander Frederick (1890-1955).

Frederick died on 3rd November 1901 at Christmas Hills, Victoria, Australia and was buried on 5th November 1901 at Yarra Glen Cemetery, Yarra Glen, Victoria, Australia.

Emily died on 20th December 1931 at Kangaroo Ground, Victoria, Australia and was buried on 21st December 1931 in Yarra Glen Cemetery, Yarra Glen, Victoria, Australia
