Welcome to the Hargreaves Family Site.
Hi,
My name is Elaine Palmer and I’m a Hargreaves descendant who has set up this site to document information on the Hargreaves family who originated in Tong, West Yorkshire, migrated to Australia, went mining in the Caledonia Diggings and eventually settled down to farming in Dixon’s Creek, Victoria, Australia.
I will also include any information I find on those who married into the family.
Please feel free to copy anything I have as my philosophy is that the more we share what we find, the greater the chance that it will be preserved for future generations.
Surnames to be covered include:
Hargreaves, Kitchen, Buck, Robinson, Jennings, Logan, Giles, Schultze, Oaten, Rule, Kilpatrick, Gilmour, McAllister, Mesnage & Cook.
