Welcome
Welcome to the Hargreaves Family Site.
Hi,
My name is Elaine Palmer and I’m a Hargreaves descendant who has set up this site to document information on the Hargreaves family who originated in Tong, West Yorkshire, migrated to Australia, went mining in the Caledonia Diggings and eventually settled down to farming in Dixon’s Creek, Victoria, Australia.
I will also include any information I find on those who married into the family.
Please feel free to copy anything I have as my philosophy is that the more we share what we find, the greater the chance that it will be preserved for future generations.
Surnames to be covered include:
Hargreaves, Kitchen, Buck, Robinson, Jennings, Logan, Giles, Schultze, Oaten, Rule, Kilpatrick, Gilmour, McAllister, Mesnage & Cook.
Thankyou for your very generous suggestion that you are willing to have your work copied.
I am researchinh Urina Robinson for my site where I have over 4120 connected families who arrived in Vic before about 1880

Hi Elizabeth, Sorry if I haven’t got back to you. I’ve been off-line for a while and am not sure if I’ve been in touch with you before or not. If not, feel free to borrow away from anything I have here. The more we share, the more gets saved for future generations. You can contact me via keltrotas@acemail.com.au if you need anything extra. All the best, Elaine (Actually, now keltrotas@gmail.com) – Elaine
