In Jan 1837 she married Thomas North SMITH, a cabinet maker, born 1814 Bedminster, Somerset. He was the son of John SMITH, chair maker, and Sarah LEWIS. Thomas North SMITH and Mary lived in Bristol with Thomas Jesse IVEY; they had a daughter Emily who married Thomas Nutt PARSLOW at St Mary’s, Bitton, Glos, in July 1860, and with whom Thomas kept in touch after emigrating.
